How to join DAF

DAF membership application procedure

In order to become a member dojo / club in DAF, there are certain criteria that must be met.

The applicant dojo / club must be established and registered as an association.

DAF must receive the applicant dojo/club's statutes, other documentation for establishment, plus a brief account of the dojo/club's history and reasons for wanting admission.

DAF's statutes are sent to the applicant, and these statutes must be read by the person in charge of the applying dojo / club. After this, the responsible person in the dojo / club signs that he/she has read and accepted these statutes, and sends this document back to the DAF representative (vice-chairman). See the menu point "contact" for information.

In addition, the association's students must be secured and subject to the national and international guidelines for training and graduation in relation to Aikikai. For further information, please contact the DAF vice-chairman.

If the applicant's dojo / club's application is considered acceptable, based on the DAF board's assessment of the submitted application material, the application will be approved.

A DAF membership certificate will then be sent to the registered dojo / club as proof of membership.
